Our attendance raffle was a HUGE success! 🎉

Thanks to the amazing support of our Dickinson ISD Education Foundation we were able to reward these awesome students with fun prizes they can enjoy all summer long! ☀️

🎁 Gavin Horner – Air Toobz: a hands-on favorite that encourages problem-solving, exploration, and lots of laughter!

🎁 Mary McElwee – Nintendo Switch 2: packed with exciting adventures and entertainment for a well-earned summer break!

We are excited to announce our attendance winners in the following categories: Perfect Attendance and Character Strong Tablet Winners, 2nd Semester Perfect Attendance Drawing Winners, 4th Nine Weeks Perfect Attendance Winners, and the 4th Nine Weeks class with the highest attendance percentage — Ms. DeRaimo/Farris’ 3rd grade class!

💙🐊 Once a Hughes Road Gator, always a Hughes Road Gator! 🐊💙

Today was such a special full-circle moment as we welcomed back our former HRES students for Senior Walk Day. These graduating seniors once walked our halls as elementary students, and today they returned as the Class of 2026 — ready to take their next big step.

We also invited our current 3rd graders to join them for their own “last walk” through Hughes Road Elementary, making the day even more meaningful as one group said goodbye to high school and another said goodbye to their elementary campus.

We are so proud of our seniors and loved celebrating this sweet Hughes Road memory together! 🎓💙

We are celebrating so many successes here at HRES this month!! Students should come ready for our Readers are Leaders Festival on Monday. We not only met our school-wide reading goal this year, but we EXCEEDED it! Collectively, we read over 300,000 minutes! The festival will be held during specials classes and will be a student-only event, so our children can enjoy an extra special day together. Thank you, Hughes Road PTO, for funding and organizing this celebration, and thank you, families, for supporting reading and literacy at home! 💙📚🐊
