*** DIXON ATHLETICS REMINDER

We love seeing our RMS & DHS students and families supporting our athletes! 💜 Just a couple of friendly reminders to help our athletic events run smoothly:

School Attendance:
Students must be present at school for at least 3½ hours on the day of an athletic event in order to participate in a game or practice. This same expectation applies to students who wish to attend and watch an athletic event at RMS or DHS. If you are absent from school on the day of the event, you cannot attend.

Younger Siblings:
If families are bringing siblings or other children to an event, please remember that you are responsible for supervising them. Children should remain seated with you in the bleachers or stay within your line of sight throughout the event.
Our administration and staff are there to support our teams, our players, and our families—and to help things run smoothly. We appreciate everyone doing their part to make Dixon athletic events safe, positive, and enjoyable for all!

This week’s RMS Spirit Stick goes to Mrs. Kayla Ankney! 🎉

Mrs. Ankney is incredibly deserving of this recognition because she continually steps in wherever she is needed and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She is a fantastic co-worker and a wonderful presence for our students! 💜
From monitoring breakfast and making her way around the cafeteria to check in with students and build meaningful relationships, to helping students who need extra support with homework, tests, and quizzes, Mrs. Ankney is always looking for ways to make a difference. She shows up, jumps in, connects with kids, and supports her colleagues—and she does it all with a positive attitude! 👏

Woodlawn Arts Academy and Dixon Public Schools present Disney’s Newsies JR., coming to the James A. Wiltz Auditorium at Dixon High School January 8–10!

As our newest Royals take on new challenges, Mrs. Page is helping students build their problem-solving skills, strengthen their confidence, and discover that even the trickiest math problems can be conquered one step at a time!

From fractions to equations and everything in between, Mrs. Page is helping our 6th graders add up some serious Main Character Energy!
