🚨 Reminder from your local firefighters:

Please DO NOT drive over fire hose lines.

Fire hoses are critical for delivering water during emergencies, and driving over them can:
• Damage the hose
• Reduce water flow to firefighters
• Put lives and property at risk

If you encounter a hose across the roadway, slow down, stop, and find an alternate route or wait for directions from emergency personnel.

Your patience helps us do our job safely and effectively. Thank you for supporting your firefighters!

May is Pedestrian Safety Month, a great reminder that safety is a shared responsibility in our community.

With more people out walking, running, and enjoying the warmer weather, we encourage everyone to:

• Watch for pedestrians at all times
• Slow down in neighborhoods and near crosswalks
• Avoid distractions while driving or walking
• Wear bright or reflective clothing, especially at night

We also encourage everyone to join the annual “Walk and Roll to School” event on May 27th, 2026! 🚶‍♂️🚲
This is a fun way to promote safe, active transportation and build awareness for pedestrian safety in our community.

Taking a few extra seconds to stay alert can help prevent serious accidents. Let’s work together to keep our streets safe for everyone!

Today, Dundee Fire & Rescue had a great time attending and supporting the Dundee Easter Egg Hunt. 🐣🚒

We truly enjoyed being there and getting to spend time with our community during such a fun tradition.

The Amity Volunteer Fire Association is excited to announce an upcoming Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser!

One of our dedicated student firefighters is organizing this event as his Senior Project, and we couldn’t be more proud of the leadership and initiative he’s showing to support our department and community.

This tournament is a great opportunity to:
- Support your local volunteer firefighters
- Help a hardworking student complete his senior project
- Enjoy some friendly competition and community fun

Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or just want to come out and cheer people on, we’d love to see you there. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting the Amity Volunteer Fire Association and the programs and equipment that help us serve our community.
