Our Volunteer Spotlight shines on one of our newer, yet incredibly impactful, volunteers. Although Ruth has been volunteering with us for just over a year, she has already made a tremendous difference through her generosity, dedication, and caring spirit.

Ruth not only gives her time to the Durango Food Bank, but she also organizes neighborhood food drives and brings food donations each time she volunteers. Her commitment to serving others is truly inspiring, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our volunteer family.

It is a privilege to call Ruth one of our volunteers. Thank you, Ruth, for all that you do!

💚 Happening today! 💚

We are so grateful to welcome a youth group from Gilbert, Arizona, with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who are spending part of their youth trip serving our Durango community.

These amazing youth will be hosting a community food drive today at several local grocery stores to help stock the shelves at Durango Food Bank and support local families, seniors and neighbors facing food insecurity.

You can find them collecting non-perishable food donations at:

Your donation may feel small, but when a whole community joins in, it fills shelves, feeds families, and makes a real difference.

On Saturday, May 9, place a bag of non-perishable food donations by your mailbox before your letter carrier arrives.

Please don’t leave food out overnight — just set it out on Saturday during your normal mail delivery window.

Thank you for helping us fill pantry shelves and feed local neighbors in need. Bonus points if you remind a friend. 😉

A heartfelt thank you to Rani Holt, who celebrated her birthday yesterday by choosing to bring joy to others. 💛

For her birthday this year, Rani put together birthday kits with cake mix, frosting, candles and everything needed to help struggling families celebrate special moments.

We are so grateful for her kindness and generosity. A special thanks to Alex at Dollar General for helping support this project in such a big way!
