The East Millinocket Police Department is a progressive, proactive, community oriented police department that provides 24-hour coverage to the Towns of East Millinocket, Millinocket and Medway. East Millinocket Police is responsible to serve a combined population of approximately 7500 annual residents and patrol 68 square miles of roadway answering in excess of 9,500 calls for service a year. The Katahdin Region offers endless 4-season recreational opportunities with its vicinity to the North Maine Woods, the West Branch of the Penobscot River, the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Baxter State Park, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument and a vast network of lakes and trail systems.
