On Saturday I was happy to participate in Hellertown Community Day, where my office had an information table! It was great seeing and talking with so many of the residents who stopped by our table. During the opening ceremony I had the pleasure of providing citations from the PA House of Representatives to two local business owners who recently retired. Jackie Bodor, who was the owner of Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts for nearly thirty-five years, has been a trusted and valuable member of the Hellertown community. Throughout her career, she became a trusted part of countless families’ lives by helping celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, births, holidays, and other joyous occasions while also providing compassion and comfort to families during times of loss. Also recognized during the opening ceremony was Andy Lee, who owned Braveheart Highland Pub for nearly twenty years. Andy transformed a historic downtown property into a welcoming gathering place that has become a valued cornerstone of Hellertown’s business district and a destination throughout the Lehigh Valley. Congratulations again to Jackie and Andy and best wishes for their well-earned retirement!
