Edina Public Schools Our vision is for each and every student to discover their possibilities and thrive. The District includes six elementary schools (gr.

K-5), two middle schools (gr. 6-8), and one high school (gr. 9-12). The District also includes the award winning Early Learning Center, providing early learning opportunities for children age 0-5 and their families. The District serves a large portion of the City of Edina, a first-tier Minneapolis suburb of approximately 47,500 residents. This beloved middle school tradition gives students the chance to bring someone special, such as a grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, or another important person in their life, to school with them.

Cardboard and big ideas! 🎮📦 Concord Elementary's 5th graders kicked off their first big STEAM project of the year by designing and building their own arcade games from cardboard! Once finished, they opened the arcade to younger classmates and families, who showed up ready to play — and the games delivered.

Meet Officer Carter Anderson! 👋 He’s joining Edina Public Schools this year as our new school resource officer, serving our elementary and middle schools.

“I consider the SRO position to be one of the most important roles in the police department because of the impact it has on the next generation,” he says. “Having positive interactions with students can go a long way in terms of their education, mental health, and overall well-being.”

A few more things to know about Officer Anderson: He’s been with the Edina Police Department for four years, speaks Spanish, and enjoys attending car meets with his Toyota Supra. If you see him around our schools, say hello! 🐝💚
