Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and service members who answered the call, and recognize the families and communities forever changed by that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to carry their memory with us and honor the strength, service, and unity shown in the days that followed.

🩵To encourage a positive mindset, share meaningful words and encouragement for all - during Su***de Prevention Month - the Mayroad team put together a “Mindfulness Wall” … that we encourage residents to pop in, say hello and leave a few words on to bring a smile, a reminder to someone else!!

🩵Everyone that contributes will be entered to win a “Happiness Basket” … filled with gift cards that will certainly make someone (and their family) smile!

🩵Please see a member of our team, after leaving your words of encouragement, to be entered to win. Drawing to take place end of September as we close out Su***de Prevention Month!

988 is there for whatever you're facing: mental health struggles, emotional distress, substance use concerns, or simply needing someone to talk to. You are not alone.

Stop by this week to make/take a bag of art! Something for a rainy day or a “just because” project to keep our smallest of friends busy for a few minutes ☺️

Parents, Guardians -

In recent days, there have been numerous reports of children damaging property throughout our Mayroad community.

This includes removing/bending park signs, destructive behavior involving playground equipment, breaking fences and destroying household items that residents have left on the curb for bulk pick up or as a “Please Take” free item.

Even more serious, twice it has been reported that there are two children playing “chicken”
with cars passing by. This is extremely dangerous and would change many lives if the children were hit.

In recent months, Mayroad solicited the support of Security Forces when a child was observed throwing large rocks at the front glass doors/Mayroad entrance and again with interior damage inside of the community center. SFS was extremely fast to respond and supportive in navigating the issues with the child(ren) and parents.

We ask that, if you have children, please have a discussion with them regarding the above. We should all expect that our property will not be destroyed and that we can drive safely throughout our community.

If you witness the above behaviors, please report it immediately to Security Forces (907-377-5130).
