🎄 Trees for Troops® is back for the 2026 holiday season! 🎄

This year, spreading holiday cheer to those who serve is bigger than ever:
🌟 100 military bases are participating nationwide!
🌟 16 new locations are joining for the very first time!
🌲 Free, farm-grown Christmas trees will be distributed to eligible service members and military families.

How to get yours:
Keep an eye out for announcements from your local MWR, MCCS, Fleet & Family Support Center, or installation family support office. Some bases require advance registration or vouchers, while others are first-come, first-served. (Remember: Trees are limited, so stationed bases do not guarantee a tree!)

The roof is easy to forget because most of it sits outside your everyday line of sight. Before winter arrives, fall can be a useful time to look for visible changes around the roofline.

From a safe position on the ground, notice missing or damaged shingles, unusual sagging, debris buildup, damaged gutters, or tree branches making contact with the roof. Inside the home, unexplained ceiling stains may also deserve further attention.

If you are buying, consider asking about the approximate age of the roof, previous repairs, and any available documentation. Existing homeowners can use seasonal checks to determine when a professional evaluation may be appropriate.

You do not need to climb onto the roof yourself. Sometimes knowing what to look for from a distance is a useful first step.

Listing photos are helpful for narrowing your search, but an in-person visit can reveal details that are difficult to understand through a screen. Once inside, slow down and pay attention to how the home actually feels.

Notice natural light, room proportions, storage, flooring transitions, ceiling height, noise, and how easily you can move between spaces. Take a closer look at windows, finishes, and visible maintenance areas too.

Try to imagine your normal routine rather than focusing only on how the home has been styled for the showing. A beautiful room still needs to work for the way you live.

⚠️ Important Details:

✔Date: Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026
✔Who Qualifies: Anyone who has served in any U.S. military branch, particularly those without full VA dental coverage.
✔Services May Include: Basic cleanings, fillings, extractions, and denture repair (determined by the provider on-site).

Registration Required: This is a one-day-only event with no walk-ins. You must register ahead of time as spots are limited!
