Investing in the future of our military families!🎓

We were honored to attend the recent LA Military Charitable Fund Scholarship Award Ceremony, where Col. Neil Barnas, commander & system program director of our System Delta 831, delivered an inspiring speech to local high-school seniors and post-secondary students.

Since its inception, the LAMCF has awarded nearly $500K in scholarships to the dependents of local military and DoW families. Space Systems Command deeply appreciates our Defense personnel and supports the efforts to strengthen the vital bonds within our local communities.

With leaders like Col. Barnas, guiding the way, we hope to inspire these brilliant scholars to return to SSC as the next generation of leaders! 🚀

From the classroom to the cosmos! 🌌

25 cadets from the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Cadet Squadron 09 recently stepped outside the classroom and into the heart of military space operations at SSC.

From meteorology and biology to English majors, these future leaders discovered exactly how their diverse academic paths could converge to protect and defend the space domain. For many, it pulled back the curtain on classified missions, career mentorship, and what it means to be a officer.

Big news for national security and space tech!🌌

will work with SpaceX to fast-track the Space-Based Airborne Moving Target Indicator program. With traditional military airborne platforms facing increasing challenges from advanced adversary defenses, this program takes tracking capabilities to the ultimate high ground.

Shifting airborne moving target indication into space, Space Force will provide the Joint Force with resilient and persistent capabilities to sense & track airborne threats globally and maintain awareness over contested airspace.

We’re strengthening ’s backbone – the Space Data Network Backbone part of our core communications layer for the USSF warfighting systems, providing warfighters with alternative communication pathways and resilient connectivity in contested environments.

Our Space-Based Sensing and Targeting portfolio just announced a SDN boost to ensure our sensors are connected continuously, globally, and securely to deliver world-wide tactical communications and broadband communication services.

“The SDN Backbone leverages the best of commercial innovation and delivers a strong foundation for the SDN mission set – a huge benefit and enabler for our warfighters,” said USSF Col. Ryan Frazier. “We are moving fast and our acquisition strategy is built on continuous competition towards a multi-vendor architecture.”
