🩷 Friday, September 25 is officially Dolly Parton Day in Carter County! 🩷

Mayor Patty Woodby has proclaimed September 25, 2026, as *Dolly Parton Day*, recognizing Dolly’s lifelong dedication to East Tennessee, her commitment to children and literacy, and her generosity to communities in times of need.

From the Imagination Library to her support of East Tennessee following Hurricane Helene, Dolly’s generosity, compassion, and Appalachian spirit have left a lasting impact here at home and around the world.

September 25 — 9/25 — is a fitting date to honor the East Tennessee icon who gave us “9 to 5.” 🎶

Carter County is proud to join in honoring the life and legacy of Dolly Parton!🩷🦋

We’re grateful to have Recovery Renaissance as part of the Chamber and excited to see the hope and impact they will continue to bring to our community! 💜
