Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives defending our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” — Unknown

This week, we recognize and thank the dedicated EMTs and Drivers who answer the call day and night to care for our community.

🚑❤️ The Chain of Survival Saves Lives ❤️🚑

During a cardiac emergency, every second matters. The Chain of Survival is a series of critical steps that gives someone the best chance at survival:

❤️ Early Recognition & Call for Help
❤️ Early CPR
❤️Rapid Defibrillation (AED)
❤️Advanced EMS Care
❤️Post-Cardiac Arrest Care

Bystander CPR can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival before EMS arrives. Learning CPR and knowing how to use an AED could help save the life of a family member, friend, coworker, or even a stranger.

Thank you to all EMS providers, firefighters, dispatchers, call takers, nurses, doctors, and everyday citizens who are part of the Chain of Survival every day. 🚑
As we head into EMS Week next week, I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of CPR and recognize all EMS providers who are part of the Chain of Survival. 🚑
Everyone who was on the call today thank you for making a difference

The latest update for our area from the US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly has us in a Blizzard Warning and on the border of the 12”-18” and 18”-24” of snowfall.

A blizzard warning means reduced visibility of 1/4 mile or less for at least three hours with sustained winds greater than 35 mph.

Please take time this morning to prepare with food, fuel, charging your electronics, and be prepared to stay off the roadways for extended periods so that plows and emergency vehicles can get to you and your neighbors without stuck and abandoned vehicles blocking roadways.

Stay warm, stay safe.

The Ellendale Fire Company would like to take a moment to recognize and share our Auxiliary’s page and give a huge shoutout to our amazing Auxiliary members for the outstanding job they do year-round.

Our Auxiliary provides meals before drills and keeps our crews fed during large-scale alarms and extended incidents. Their dedication, hard work, and support behind the scenes make a tremendous difference for our members. We truly work hand in hand with them every single day, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do for our company.

They have several exciting fundraisers planned for this year to support our mission — be sure to check them out and show your support!
Please take a moment to follow their page and help us thank them for all they do for our firefighters and our community.
