FairEntry registration is now open for ALL Dickey County 4-H exhibits — including static and animal exhibits! Be sure to get your entries submitted before the June 15th deadline.

The Dickey County 4-H Steak Fry Fundraiser is happening TONIGHT! Let us take care of supper while you support local 4-H youth and programs. 🍀💚

Join us from 5:00–7:00 PM at the American Legion Robert Bernhagen Event Center in Ellendale for a delicious meal featuring:
🥩 Steak
🥔 Baked Potatoes
🍰 Homemade Desserts

💲 $25 per plate
✔️ Dine-In or Take-Out Available

Remember — we only have 250 steaks available, so once they’re gone, they’re gone! Take-out orders will only be accepted TODAY by calling the number listed on the flyer.

🚨 Only 2 days until the Dickey County 4-H Steak Fry Fundraiser! We are getting everything ready to serve up an amazing meal and support our local 4-H youth.

Join us Wednesday, June 3rd from 5:00–7:00 PM at the American Legion Robert Bernhagen Event Center in Ellendale for a delicious supper featuring steak, baked potatoes, and homemade desserts!

We only have 150 steaks available, so don’t wait too long to grab yours! Dine-in and take-out options are available, with take-out orders being accepted the day of the event by calling the number on the flyer.

Reminder! The Ellendale Babysitting Clinic is happening THIS FRIDAY and there are still a few spots available! This is a wonderful opportunity for youth to learn important babysitting skills, safety practices, and caregiving tips while enjoying a fun day of hands-on activities.

Participants will leave with valuable knowledge, resources, and many great things to take home from the class!

✔️ FREE to attend
✔️ Lunch & snacks provided
✔️ Limited to 14 youth

🎓 Senior Spotlight 🎓

Last but certainly not least in our Senior Spotlight series is ✨ Shayle Zimbelman ✨

Shayle has been a member of the Ellendale 4-H Archery Club for the past 4 years. During her time in 4-H, we have watched her grow tremendously in both her archery skills and her dedication to the sport.

Shayle plans to attend Lake Area Technical College, where she will pursue an Associate’s degree in Agriculture Business and Livestock Production. She plans to use her education to pursue a career in agricultural sales. 📚

Her favorite 4-H memory is making new friends at different archery tournaments—showing just how much 4-H is about connection as well as competition.

Shayle, we are so proud of you and all you have accomplished in the Ellendale 4-H Archery Club and the Dickey County 4-H Program. We wish you nothing but success and happiness in your future!

🎓 Senior Spotlight 🎓

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is ✨ Mariska Olson ✨

Mariska plans to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD this fall, where she will major in Animal Science with a minor in Horticulture. 💙💛

During her 13 years in 4-H, Mariska has made many memories, but a couple of her favorites include winning the Round Robin Contest as an intermediate and receiving a purple ribbon on a blouse she sewed at the North Dakota State Fair.

We are incredibly proud of Mariska for her dedication to the Dakota State Liners 4-H Club and the Dickey County 4-H Program as a whole. Over the past several years, she has stepped into the role of leader and role model for the younger members in her club, and she has done an amazing job helping guide and encourage others.

Thank you, Mariska, for your years of hard work, leadership, and commitment to 4-H. Help us wish her the very best as she begins this exciting next chapter of her future! 🎉👏

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is ✨ Macy Norton ✨

Macy plans to attend Valley City State University this fall to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. 🍎

One of Macy’s favorite parts of her 12 years in 4-H was having the opportunity to serve as a County Ambassador and help younger youth develop a love for the 4-H program. Her passion for helping others and promoting 4-H has truly made a difference in Dickey County.

We are incredibly proud of Macy for stepping outside of her comfort zone and becoming such a strong leader and role model for younger members. She has done an amazing job representing Dickey County 4-H and the Prairie Rose 4-H Club throughout the years.

Thank you, Macy, for your dedication, leadership, and positive impact on our program. Help us wish Macy the very best as she begins this exciting next chapter of life! 🎉👏

🎓 Senior Spotlight 🎓

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is ✨ Porter Glynn ✨

Porter has been an active member of the Ellendale 4-H Archery Club for the past 9 years. Throughout his time in 4-H, Porter has always been someone willing to lend a helping hand and welcome others with open arms. His positive attitude and willingness to help anyone around him have made a lasting impact on those in our program.

After graduation, Porter plans to leave for basic training this September and serve in the Army National Guard. 🇺🇸

We are proud of Porter and excited to see him pursue his future goals and serve our country. Thank you, Porter, for your years of dedication and involvement in Dickey County 4-H.
