Elroy Public Library Elroy's library since 1908 Elroy Public library has been in operation since 1908. It is a member of the Winding Rivers Library System.

The first panels are getting put in today!

Elroy public Library’s solar canopy is funded completely by grants and donations. Thanks go to the Solar Library Grant, Solar for Good, the Couillard Solar Foundation, RENEW Wisconsin, Focus on Energy Incentive, and local donors Dorothy Helgerson, Larry Ormson, and Tommy Thompson. Builders and contractors were Freestyle Builders, Narrows Creek Timber Frames, and Solar Connections. Thanks to Winding River Library System for the support to ensure a dream becomes a reality. We will announce an Open House later in the year.

As we celebrate this life well-lived, we at the Winding Rivers Library System cannot thank Dolly enough for all she's done to put books into the hands of young children.
We are thrilled to announce that beginning on January 4, 2027, every child ages 0-5 who lives in the seven counties of the Winding Rivers Library System will be eligible to get one age-appropriate book mailed to their home each month.
Help us sustain this program for years to come. Any donation helps us honor Dolly’s legacy while giving children in our community the gift of reading.
