The officers and members of Fuller Hose Company #1 extend our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters at A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. following the heartbreaking loss of Junior Firefighter Bryce Kaufmann.

Sadly, we know this type of pain all too well. We know the heartbreak of losing one of our own, and we know there are simply no words that can ease the tremendous loss felt by a fire department family.

Our hearts are with Bryce’s family, friends, classmates, fellow Junior Firefighters, and every member of the A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Co. family during the difficult days ahead.

Though his time was far too short, the impact Bryce made and the memories he leaves behind will not be forgotten.

From one firehouse family to another, we stand with you.

The fire service lost a true giant with the passing of Chief Robert "Hummer" Reiss. To know Hummer was to know a leader whose dedication to the craft and his community had no boundaries. As Chief of the Emmaus Fire Department, his influence reached far beyond town lines—there wasn't a firefighter in the region who didn't know his name, recognize his voice, or respect his presence on a fireground.

​Hummer was never just the chief of one department; he was a steadfast brother to every department across our area. When a neighboring company called, Hummer was there without hesitation. Whether arriving with mutual aid, lending tactical expertise, or quietly offering encouragement after a tough run, his support was unconditional.

​As a leader, mentor, and instructor, Hummer shaped generations of firefighters. He set the standard for what it means to lead from the front, demanding excellence while always taking the time to teach, guide, and protect the younger generation coming through the ranks. His lessons will live on through every firefighter who ever had the privilege of listening to his advice or learning under his watch. Beyond the bugles and the uniform, he was a loyal, generous friend who genuinely cared for the people standing next to him.

​Hummer held a special place in the hearts of those around him, and he will forever be an enduring part of the Topton Volunteer Fire Company family. The brotherhood he nurtured and the mark he left on our stations will never fade.

🚒 WE'RE HIRING: Billing Specialist (Entry Level) 🚒

PA Fire Recovery Service, LLC has proudly supported fire departments for over 25 years — and we're growing our team in Emmaus, PA!

We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Billing Specialist to join us. No billing experience? No problem — we provide paid training. But fire service experience is required, so if you've served or worked with a fire department, we want to hear from you.

💼 What You'll Do:
✅ Prepare and issue accurate, timely invoices
✅ Review billing records and resolve discrepancies
✅ Maintain and update customer accounts
✅ Communicate with insurance companies and customers on billing questions
✅ Support general office operations (phones, email, filing, scanning)
✅ Help fire departments recover the revenue they've earned

🙋 What We're Looking For:
✔️ Fire service experience (required)
✔️ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
✔️ Solid data entry and organizational skills
✔️ Clear written and verbal communication
✔️ Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
✔️ Basic computer skills (Google Drive, email, data entry)
✔️ Prior clerical, admin, or billing experience is a plus — but not required
