"I worked this role from freshman year until my final term of senior year! ... I have spent the last term helping to rehouse, reorganize, research, and develop a collection centered on photo negatives from the 60s and 70s.

I've had the honor and privilege of being able to work alongside amazing librarians and also make some of my best friends through work.

Between my different roles at the library, I have honed my customer service skills and learned my passion for library work. The next steps in my life are a direct impact of my employment through the library. I want to pursue a Master's in Library Science eventually and engage with other universities libraries and their Special Collections."

“I worked at the Knight Library as a Digitalization Student Assistant. I will come back for the UOTeach program to get my Master's degree and teaching certification. I loved seeing all the different media we got to hold and work with. Some included written theses, newspapers from all over Oregon, news film strips, and even old UO yearbooks called Oreganas that they had back in the 20th century.

Working at the Knight Library has helped me learn about different types of media and how to work with them. This will allow me to teach future students how to properly preserve, capture, and digitize different pieces of delicate media.”
