While we're not sure our founders could have dreamed of making 1482 runs in a year, our team has grown, trained, and responded as our community's needs grew. Currently, we are at 841 runs, which puts us right on pace to match or exceed last year's record year. We are not only proud of where we have been, but where we are going. But none of this would be possible without your financial donations, our members volunteering their time, and our community's support! THANK YOU!

🔥 Commercial fire alarm transforms into working fire incident 🔥

On July 18, shortly after midnight, Perry Township Fire Department (PTFD) was dispatched to a commercial fire alarm at Bucks and Jakes Outfitters. Upon arrival, crews discovered a small fire within the building. The building’s sprinkler system was working properly and kept the fire from spreading throughout the building. A working fire was subsequently declared and tapped out shortly after. The building did sustain water and smoke damage. Additionally, no injuries occurred.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our lifetime members, Thomas (Tom) Anderson. Tom dedicated 21 years of active service to our community, while earning lifetime status, he still participated in many events throughout the past years. During his tenure, Tom responded to more than 983 runs, served 17 years on our Board of Directors with 12 of those being the treasurer, and rose in rank to hold a Captains Position for 11 years. Tom will be sincerely missed and we are forever grateful for the many years of his service to our department.

Perry Township Fire Department serves as an American Heart Association Regional Training Center, helping instructors and organizations provide high-quality CPR, AED, and First Aid training throughout our region.

As we recognize CPR & AED Awareness Week, we're also looking to partner with:

* Fire Departments
* EMS Agencies
* Schools
* Businesses
* Churches
* Community Organizations
* Healthcare Providers

If your organization would like to offer American Heart Association courses but needs a Regional Training Center to work through, we'd love to talk with you.

Our Training Center provides support, oversight, instructor assistance, and access to the American Heart Association training network.

Together, we can put more lifesaving skills into the hands of more people throughout our community.

Wow, did we have fun today at our annual Fire & EMS Demonstration Day at Perry Heights Middle School! Each year, to wrap up the school year, we spend a day with the 7th graders, giving them hands-on experience in the Fire & EMS Service. Students got to spray fire hoses, use extrication equipment, learn CPR, meet Fire Dog Kia, and watch a demonstration on why you never pour water on a grease fire.

It’s always a great day of learning, teamwork, and, hopefully, inspiring future firefighters, EMS providers, and community leaders!

Happy EMS Week, and a BIG THANK YOU to Hacienda Mexican Restaurants West-Pearl Dr. for feeding us during our EMS training night!

While enjoying some excellent food, our crews completed a refresher training session in preparation for our upcoming MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) drill. Coming up in June, we’ll be working alongside our training partners during our annual multi-agency exercise to help ensure we’re all prepared and ready to respond if disaster strikes.

We truly appreciate the support from our community and businesses that help keep our first responders fueled and ready to serve.
