Today we leaned fully into Superintendent Derild Parsons’ legendary dad-joke energy with a “Where’s Waldo” twist that only he could appreciate 🔎😂

District Office staff and leadership came together for a fun, themed celebration. Official charge: abandonment. Verdict: retired & under new management, see Lynne.

From the “MISSING: Have you seen this man?” shirts featuring his mugshot to the themed cake, it was a perfect mix of humor, appreciation, and well-earned celebration.

Superintendent Parsons’ last day is June 30, and this was a fun way to kick off his retirement celebration and honor everything he has meant to all of us, our schools, and our community 🎉

Please be aware that Churchill County School District is not currently conducting any fundraising campaigns. We appreciate the Fallon Police Department helping us spread awareness about these scam calls.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The Fallon Police Department would like to make the community aware of potential spam calls claiming to be from the Churchill County School District regarding a fundraiser.

The Churchill County School District has advised that they are NOT currently participating in any fundraising efforts.

If you receive a phone call requesting donations, personal information, banking information, or any form of payment on behalf of the school district, use caution and verify the legitimacy of the request before taking any action.

As a reminder:

🔹 Never provide personal or financial information over the phone to unsolicited callers.

🔹 Verify requests through official channels before making donations or sharing information.

🔹 When in doubt, hang up and contact the organization directly using a trusted phone number.

Scammers often rely on urgency and trust to convince people to act without verifying the facts. Taking a few extra moments to confirm the information can help protect you and your family.

Tonight, the Churchill County School District Board of Trustees had the honor of recognizing Superintendent Derild Parsons for his years of dedicated service to our district, our students, and our community.

The evening was a special opportunity to celebrate a career marked by leadership, commitment, and a genuine passion for education.

Throughout his time with ChurchillCSD, Superintendent Parsons has helped guide our district through challenges, achievements, and countless milestones, always keeping students at the heart of the work.

Thank you, Superintendent Parsons, for the impact you have made, the relationships you have built, and the legacy you leave behind. Your dedication has touched the lives of so many, and Churchill County School District is better because of your service.

🍎☀️ ChurchillCSD is participating in the Summer Food Service Program!

Meals will be provided to all children ages 2-18 at NO CHARGE.

📅 Please note: Meals will not be served on June 19 or June 29-July 3.

📢 Important: Children must be present when meals are picked up. If a child is not present, the guardian must provide a birth certificate or school ID for the child receiving a meal.

Last night, we celebrated the Churchill County High School Class of 2026! 🎉🎓💚

Their graduation marked the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, growth, and achievement. From their first day of school to crossing the stage as graduates, they have followed unique paths filled with lessons learned, challenges overcome, friendships built, and memories made.

As they begin the next chapter of their lives, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and experiences that will help guide them toward future success. Whether their path leads to college, careers, military service, or new opportunities, they are prepared to pursue their goals, embrace new challenges, and make a meaningful difference in the world around them.
