Connection is an important part of su***de prevention, and our students are helping lead the way.

As we continue recognizing Su***de Prevention Month, our CCHS Hope Squad students are introducing themselves and showing their classmates what Hope Squad is all about. Students supporting students 👏

Different grades, different interests, different stories, and students just like the students they are there to support.

We love seeing our Hope Squad building connections, looking out for one another, and helping spread awareness throughout their school community! 💜🩵

September is Su***de Prevention Month 💜🩵

Throughout September, ChurchillCSD joins schools and communities across the country in recognizing Su***de Prevention Month. This year’s message reminds us of the important role connection can play in prevention and that each of us can help make sure the people around us feel seen, heard, and supported.

You may not always know what someone is experiencing. A check-in, a listening ear, or a resource shared at the right moment can make a real difference.

Su***de prevention starts with connection.

Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing information and resources to help strengthen connection, encourage conversations, and remind our students, staff, families, and community that support is available.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Superintendent Blake Cooper joined local business and community leaders at this morning’s CEDA Business Council Breakfast to share his vision for ChurchillCSD, the importance of preparing students to be life-ready, and continuing to strengthen the connection between our schools, local businesses, and community. He was joined by School Board Trustees Gregg Malkovich, Kathryn Whitaker, Amber Getto, and Celestia Blakey.

Thank you to CEDA for the opportunity to have Superintendent Cooper speak with our local business community this morning, and to all of the businesses and community partners who continually support our students and schools. Whether it’s through donations and sponsorships, sharing your time and expertise, or simply showing up for our kids, we are so grateful to have you as part of our team! 💚

One Team. One Community. Endless Possibilities.

The first day of the 2026-27 school year is officially in the books! 🙌

Today, we welcomed our 1st-12th grade students back to ChurchillCSD, and from morning drop-off to afternoon pick-up, our schools were once again full of learning, laughter, and all the excitement that comes with the first day of school! 🎉

Students settled into new routines and reviewed school SOPs, reconnected with friends, and wasted no time jumping into the year. Classrooms were already in full swing, and students were getting right to work.

Superintendent Blake Cooper spent the morning out in our schools alongside Assistant Superintendent Mike Walker and members of the District Office administrative team, making their way through classrooms and hallways to welcome students and staff back and check in as the new year got underway.

A successful first day takes a whole team. Thank you to our principals, teachers, secretaries, transportation staff, maintenance and grounds crew, custodians, nutrition services team, support staff, district office staff, families, community partners, and local law enforcement for everything you did to make today possible.

And most importantly, welcome back, students! We are so happy to have you back in our schools and cannot wait to see what you learn, accomplish, and discover this year! ✨

One Team. One Community. Endless Possibilities.
