Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States learned of their freedom, marking a significant milestone in our nation’s history. It is a day to honor freedom and celebrate resilience.

We encourage our community to take time to learn, reflect, and celebrate the significance of this important day.

It's Wednesday...

Or as we like to call it, "The day where you're too far into the week to give up, but not close enough to Friday to get excited." 😭😂

And can we PLEASE talk about this weather?!

Why is it so muggy outside that stepping out your front door feels like walking directly into a bowl of hot soup? 💀

You don't even have to do anything.

🚶 Walk to the mailbox? Sweating.
🚗 Walk to your car? Sweating.
💭 Think about going outside? Somehow still sweating.

At this point, the humidity isn't in the air...

The humidity IS the air. 😭

Meanwhile, all across FAYYYETTEVILLEEEE this morning:

☕ Somebody is already on their second coffee.
🧊 Somebody is refusing to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
😩 And somebody's hair gave up the second they opened the front door.

The struggle is real.

It’s Monday… and somehow the heat clocked in before the rest of us. 😭

You know it’s hot when you walk outside at 8:00 AM and the air feels like someone opened the oven to check the biscuits. 💀

Meanwhile, half of FAYYYETTEVILLEEEE this morning:
☕ One hand on the coffee
🕶️ One hand shielding the sun
😩 And one thought: “Why is it already 97 degrees?!”

And let’s be honest…

Some of y’all spent all weekend saying,
“I’ll get caught up on Monday.”

Now it’s Monday, your inbox has multiplied, your alarm betrayed you, and your AC is working harder than you are. 😂

As you head out today, here are a few friendly reminders:

🥤 Stay hydrated.....coffee is great, but water deserves some attention too.
🚗 Don’t let the Monday rush make you forget the basics.

Youth Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance Locating Runaway Juvenile

The Fayetteville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Nadia Agenoir (Black female, 17 years of age) of Fayetteville, N.C., who has been reported as a runaway.

On May 16, 2026, Nadia Agenoir was reported as a runaway. Agenoir was believed to be headed to her mother’s house in Georgia, but never arrived.

Nadia Agenoir is described as:
• Black female
• 17 years of age
• 5’5”
• 120 pounds
• Red wig
• Brown eyes
• Last seen wearing a black jumper and carrying a light blue backpack.

Agenoir was last seen entering an unknown make or model vehicle that arrived at her residence to pick her up.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Detective S. Culbreth at (910) 813-9854.
