Tonight the Hancock County Explorers had the opportunity to work on building search techniques, focusing on communication, teamwork, and clearing rooms safely and effectively. These hands-on trainings are a great way for our Explorers to gain real-world experience and build confidence in their skills.

A huge thank you to members of the Hancock County SRT team who came out to assist with training tonight. Your time, knowledge, and willingness to mentor these young individuals does not go unnoticed. The impact you have on this group is incredible, and we appreciate your continued support.

We are proud of the hard work and dedication our Explorers continue to show each week!!

Last month our Explorers had the opportunity to learn and practice Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs). An important tool used during impaired driving investigations.

They worked through the three standardized tests:
• Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus
• Walk and Turn
• One Leg Stand

Our Explorers practiced giving clear instructions, observing details, and understanding how officers make decisions in the field. Scenario-based training like this builds confidence, communication skills, professionalism, and critical thinking. All skills that will benefit them in any career path they choose.

We’re proud of the focus, maturity, and effort they showed during this training. These young leaders continue to step up and represent the program well!!

Busy weekend for our Explorer's, Volunteers and our Deputies. These hard workers assisted with the parking at the Fairgrounds for the Christmas in October Craft Show.

A special shout out to Cathy ,Drew and Lauretta. They have worked so hard to prepare these delicious donuts for our fair goers.
