Severe flooding in Indiana has displaced many Hoosiers, including Veterans and their families.

To support those affected, IDVA has launched the MFRF Disaster Flood Emergency (DFE) program.

The DFE delivers short‑term financial assistance to qualified individuals displaced from their homes and in need of temporary housing, helping families stay safe during this challenging time. The program runs through Sept. 13.

Unfortunately, for the first time in five years of hosting our monthly events, we have to cancel tomorrow’s kayaking event.

Due to the current conditions, the park is completely underwater, and the road providing access to the park has been closed. The safety of our participants is always our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Please stay safe out there, and we look forward to seeing everyone next month on September 19th! 🛶

We had a great turnout for the July 2026 Coffee With A Veteran at Schoolhouse 7 Cafe. I want to thank Matt Carder from First Christian Church in Shelbyville for being our sponsor this month.
We had 24 people attend the event this month. I regret not getting any pictures as we had several new people attend this month.
