A special thank you to Kat Pedersen who came all the way up from Texas/Colorado Firecamp to teach our Saw class last week!
We were joined by participants from Lake George Fire Protection District, Stone Mountain Fire Protection, Stone Mountain Fuels, NE Teller County Fire Protection District, Bullhide Wildfire, & Colorado Wildfire Mitigation Ltd to help get members trained up on Chainsaws (S112 Class) and ready to help out on wildfires and local mitigation projects. We are so proud to be able to offer classes to our local agencies. Training together leads to better working relationships and helps us gain familiarity with one another for better communications and efficiency during mutual aid events and calls.
We put in 600 man hours over three days of work to build a fuel break next to the High Chateau burn scar to help protect our communities in the High Chateau area.

Pine needle and pine cone drop off! We have already filled up two dumpsters, and will have them available through Sunday.
We are lightly staffed on Sundays, so if you are able to drop off Saturday, that would be helpful. Glad to help out the community with this valuable service. Special thank you to Apex Waste - Teller County for donating their services to make this happen!
