Every interaction between first responders and our community matters. For individuals with autism, an unexpected emergency can sometimes be overwhelming, making communication or responding to instructions even more challenging.
To help create a safer, more positive interaction, the Flushing Township Police Department has designed and is now offering a free Autism Information Sticker Set for residents of the City of Flushing and Flushing Township.
Each set includes two stickers, one for your residence which can be placed on a interior window facing out and another for your vehicle to be placed on the exterior window or bumper.
These stickers are designed to help notify police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel that an individual with autism may be present.
Having that information before contact is made provides first responders added information to adjust their approach, communicate more effectively, and better understand the needs of the individual and their family.
If you would like a complimentary sticker set, you can:
📍 Stop by the Flushing Township Police Department Monday through Thursday 8 AM - 4 PM, Fridays 8 AM - 12 PM, or

Because quantities are limited, sticker sets are currently available only to residents of the City of Flushing and Flushing Township.
