Tanker 8, Engine 8, and Engine 88 along with Follansbee (4), Colliers (6), and Franklin (7) VFD's, Brooke County EMA, EMS, WV State Police, and Brooke County Sheriff Department worked a vacant structure fire on Westview Avenue. Multiple calls were received of a fully involved structure. Station 6 and 7 was requested for additional manpower. Tanker 8 was first due and reported heavy fire and began stretching a line. Engine 8 was second due and it's crew assisted in stretching additional lines and suppression. Rescue 4 took the hydrant on Walker Road and laid 4" supply in to Tanker 8. Arriving departments assisted in suppression and overhaul. City of Weirton FD covered the north end at Follansbee Station 4. Great job and thank you to all involved.

Today, June 8th, beginning at 5:00 pm, members of the Hooverson Heights Volunteer Fire Department will be going around collecting Solicitation Drive envelopes that were mailed out weeks ago. If you have children who would like to see our trucks, please bring them out or if you would like to see where your money goes to please come out and look at our equipment and talk to our members and get to know them.
