Thank you to all who came out to the Annual 2026 Spring Plant Auction last night to support and fundraise for the Four Seasons Healthcare Activities Department. The event was a huge success with door prices, raffle ticket winners, countless plants/garden decor auctioned, and a talk from our own Sargent County Extension Agent, Melissa. She spoke about things to consider regarding shade plants and shade gardens.

On April 24-26, a group of 45 youth and adults from three states and four North Dakota counties including: Sargent, Kidder, LaMoure, and Stutsman headed to the 2026 Minnesota Horse Expo at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds via bus.

The MN Horse Expo is Minnesota's largest equine trade show with vendors creating an easy access marketplace for anyone wanting to find merchandise related to horses/owners and compare brands, prices and features. Horses representing many horse breeds and associations were displayed and exhibited daily. There were speakers, trainers and clinicians to educate on equitation, horse training, care and maintenance. Many of the group attended the PRCA rodeos on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as the many educational seminars and breed demonstrations.

We would like to thank North Dakota Corn Council for providing corn nuts for our 'feed bag' treat bags we gave to the bus riders, Delahoyde Seeds for sponsoring the door and Bingo prizes, and Sargent County Farmers Union. The bus tour could not happen without the generous sponsorship of Dave Bergeman, Farmers Union Insurance, who made sure the bus cost would be affordable and family friendly! Thank you all for your support of 4-H and local youth!
