The 2nd graders had a visit from the current Miss Lake Festival, Cailtyn Nuding. Caitlyn is a nursing student at Wright State Lake Campus and has made service and connecting with kids a big part of her year. She shared a story with the students that focused on kindness, confidence, perseverance, helping others and making good choices. The students completed a page about themselves and even got to try on the crown!

The fourth grade students have been learning about the states of matter. They mixed cornstarch and water to make “Oobleck.” Oobleck has properties of a solid when a person is moving it, but it has properties of a liquid when it’s not moving. It was a messy, fun way to study our states of matter!
