🚧🎉 After years of planning and months of construction, the Highway 96/341 Railroad Intersection project is officially complete!

To celebrate this important milestone, the Peach Regional Chamber of Commerce will host an opening ceremony on Friday, May 22 at 9:00 a.m.

This project is a true testament to the power of collaboration and partnership. We extend our appreciation to the City of Fort Valley, Peach County, CW Matthews, Norfolk Southern, and the Georgia Department of Transportation for their dedication and commitment to bringing this project to completion. 🍑

The Peach County Board of Commissioners is pleased to welcome Jillian Bowen as the County’s new Administrator.

Bowen brings nearly 20 years of experience serving the Peach County community through her work in economic development and business leadership. She has played a key role in recruiting major industry, supporting local businesses, and helping drive economic growth across the county.

Her background includes leadership with the Development Authority of Peach County as well as serving as President and CEO of the Peach Regional Chamber of Commerce.

We’re Hiring | Part-Time Animal Control Technician

Peach County is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Animal Control Technician to assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals at the Animal Control Facility. This role involves cleaning and stocking animal areas, maintaining the facility, assisting the public, and providing basic medical care for animals as needed. Assisting with temperament testing. Help maintain social media as needed.

Mike was one of the best and served the county for most of his adult life, this one definitely pulls on many heart strings around here. My heartfelt condolences go out to Dr Giles, and family 🙏🏻💖

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of retired EMS team member Michael A. Giles.

Michael dedicated more than 40 years of service to this community, serving with distinction as a clinician, Rescue Chief, and Fleet Maintenance Coordinator for Peach County EMS. His commitment to public safety, leadership, and dedication to the citizens of Peach County left a lasting impact on our organization and on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We also ask the community to keep his wife, Dr. Cynthia L. Giles, our County Medical Director, in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Michael’s legacy of service and commitment will always be remembered.
