Frederic Fire Department Frederic Township Fire Department is an all Hazard / Advance life support agency, serving Crawford County and the eastern side of Kalkaska County Matt Griffin.

Frederic Township Fire Department has a Mission statement and that is "To Go When Needed". We are an all-hazard Fire Department. Frederic Fire Department Operates out of 3 station servicing 2 Townships in Crawford County Frederic and Maple Forest (108 square miles) for Fire coverage, and 4 Townships in Crawford County for EMS Frederic, Maple Forest, Lovells and South Branch, Along with Camp Grayli

ng Containment for Fire and EMS, 3 Townships in Kalkaska County Bear Lake, Coldsprings, Excelsior for Emergency Medical Services. Our EMS units transport to Munson Hospital Grayling, Munson Hospital Ga***rd, Munson Medical Center Traverse City, and Kalkaska Memorial Hospital. Along with Fire and EMS we also provide ORV Rescue, Snowmobile Rescue and Water rescue. Frederic Fire Department is lead in to action by Chief Douglas Pratt, Deputy Fire Chief Edward Goscicki, Captain David Pratt, Captain Dana Swander, Captain Brandi Ginnever, Captain Allen Ballard, Lieutenant Mike Baker, Lieutenant Teia Kenyon, XO. Monday afternoon Dec 15th. Chief Doug Pratt, Deputy Chief Ed Goscicki and XO Christin Wargo We're able to wrangle a loose horse on Old 27 and Batterson rd. The Chief's are equipped with halters and leads. We have Encountered this kind of event before in our 30 years of service. Knowing the Equine community in Frederic we Notifying the owner Who met us at the scene and we happily help return the horse to his home.
