Some people change our lives forever.

What is the most significant way a person has ever impacted your life?

Prayer birthed from Luke 2:52:

Abba Father, I ask You to increase me in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and man in the name of Jesus Amen. Thank You, Lord!

Luke 2:52 KJV
"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men."

Do you ever awaken in the wee hours of the morning and know there is absolutely no point in trying to go back into a blissful deep sleep?

It happened to me this morning at 3am.

So, what to do? Coffee of course! Then I went out to the patio.

Dark as it was in the sky, I could see clouds moving, as though they were in a hurry. Some of the clouds had silver linings and were brightly lit up. What!?! How!?!

As the clouds continued to move, the Moon was uncovered and shining bright, so much so that it was lighting up the white clouds as they rushed by.

Then dark clouds moved in and hid the light of the Moon. The Moon did not stop shining, it just appeared as though its light had been s***fed. The Moon would have to stop being the Moon to lose its shine.

The Moon does not produce its own light. It looks bright, because it reflects the Sun.

As the moon rotates and orbits the Earth, it is also orbiting along with the Earth around the Sun.

In our Solar System, the planets all continuously orbit around the Sun.

As children of God, we do not produce our own light. “Jesus is the Light of the World.” We shine, because we look at Him. We are like little moons reflecting the Son.

When the dark storm clouds of life try to s***f out your light/life, just keep looking to “Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith.” Speak the Word. Believe the Word. Overcome the enemy. Walk in divine health, victory, and prosperity every day of your life. Revolve your world around the Son. The clouds will pass, the storm will cease, because it is temporary. Jesus is eternal.

You can’t lose if you don’t quit. Keep shining!

May I be honest? When various people have used the following scripture to call multitudes to prayer, it's always bothered me.

You ask, "Why? It's in the Bible."

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Yes, it is written in the Bible, but it was pre-Cross. Jesus hadn't come yet and taken the penalty for all our sin, died, and been risen from the dead for our justification.

Jesus washes believers from all sin. He gave us His righteousness. God sees us as such. How would this make since in 2 Chronicles, "turn from their WICKED ways," when God says we're new creations, washed by the Blood of Jesus, loved, and forgiven. Believers in Christ Jesus may sin from time to time, but that does not change our standing with God.

I needed this Old Testament scripture to pertain to life after the Cross if it was to be used as a call to prayer.

The missing link came in an e-mail this week containing this scripture reference:

Hebrews 3:12 NKJV
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God

"an evil heart of unbelief" - wicked ways

Hebrews 3:12 was speaking to the brethren (believers). This was right after the reference to the Israelites being out in no man's land for 40 years. The people tested God, complained, and hardened their hearts. They saw God's work for 40 years and still did not believe they could take the promised land (by the work of His hand).

We pray. God works. Believe it.

How many times have you read a scripture and continued to receive more revelation concerning it each time you read it? That’s because the Word of God is alive and powerful. It’s sharper than any two-edged sword. It can cut to the root of any problem you may experience. It’s alive! Ref. Hebrews 4:12

Let’s consider the woman with the issue of blood who literally had the life being sucked right out of her. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Ref. Leviticus 17:11

Mark 5:25-29 NKJV
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

Faith that works always has an anchor tethered to a truth. Firmly placed anchors do not move. We can hear something, then have the choice to believe it or not. It’s important to not believe everything we see or hear. We must attach our anchor to the One who is true and good. Some people attach their anchors to a lie, then find themselves at the murky bottom of a sea of despair.

What truth was attached to the woman’s anchor? The truth was what, “She heard about Jesus.”

What did the woman hear about Jesus? What she heard about Jesus is written in the Gospels:
Matthew 14:36
Mark 6:56
Luke 6:19

The woman heard that as many as touched the hem of Jesus’ garment were made well.

The woman was healed by Jesus, because she had faith that He would heal her if she only touched the hem of His garment. This is what she believed. This is what she spoke to herself. Her anchor of hope was attached to the truth of who Jesus is and what He does.

2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

All the promises of God in Him say, “Yes,” and in Him we say, “Amen!”

Touch Jesus and receive your miracle. If you only believe, you shall see the glory of God working through you.

John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” Then Lazarus was raised from the dead.

What can make a person feel accepted? What can help a person make better choices? What can change the way a person treats other people? What can... Only Love can change and transform a heart.

Perfect Love must be received before we can genuinely give love. "...God is Love" 1 John 4:8.

Do we completely believe Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"? If we walk according to the flesh, we don't consider just how loved and forgiven we are. The spirit knows. Jesus paid it all, once and for all:

Romans 6:10
Hebrews 7:27
Hebrews 9:12
Hebrews 10:10

As believers and followers of Christ Jesus, we are forgiven... Now THAT's Love! His Love makes us want to do better, make better decisions, and treat people better.

When you make a bad choice... saying... doing... thinking, do you thank God you are already forgiven, accept the Love of God in Christ Jesus, ask for His help to do better the next time, or do you beat yourself up for the rest of the day?

My question for AI:
"How many women report marital abuse in Texas?"

AI's response:
Search Assist

"In Texas, approximately 40% of women experience some form of intimate partner violence, which includes marital abuse, during their lifetime. Additionally, a significant number of domestic violence incidents go unreported, making the actual figures potentially higher."

Statistics: A woman will leave an abusive relationship 7 times before she finally makes a clean break... that's if she lives to tell about it.

Did you know in Texas that approximately 1,200 youth age out of the foster care system each year?

I was very disturbed when I read many of the youth who age out of foster care commit su***de. They feel alone and hopeless.

Today, I read there are multitudes of foster children turning to the su***de route while still living in foster care.

My heart weeps for these young souls.

If you are put in the path of a Texas youth who aged out of foster care and needs help living life, please consider telling them about:

The mission of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is to protect the unprotected -- children, elderly, and people with disabilities -- from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
