🔎 Learning from History to Inspire Innovation! 🇺🇸

Today, students in Ms. Jones’s Independent Study elective welcomed Ms. Russ, Stafford’s Teacher in Residence at the National Museum of the Marine Corps! Students explored USMC artifacts and learned how innovation has shaped Marine Corps uniforms and equipment over time.

Now, they’ll take that inspiration into their National History Day projects, centered on this year’s theme of Innovation. What a great way to bring history to life! 📚💡

Congratulations to our first Hispanic Heritage Month Trivia winners: Nilofar H., Cristian C., and Amair S.! 🎉

They were the first three Panthers to correctly identify Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 as the place widely credited with popularizing reggaeton!

Hispanic Heritage Month continues at Gayle!

This morning, 8th grader Brianna D. C. took over the announcements to share facts about Hispanic Heritage Month and highlight the history, culture, and contributions of the Hispanic community.

Our 8th grade scientists got dense! 🧪 Panthers put science into action by measuring mass and volume, using water displacement, and calculating density. Science is better when you get to do it!

In case you missed it… ♻️🎨 Our Exploring Living Systems students turned everyday recyclables into 3D works of art! Ms. Wilcox-Blosser’s students put creativity and sustainability to work, proving that one person’s trash really can become a Panther’s masterpiece!
