Johnson Crossing Academic Center

Johnson Crossing Academic Center We are Fremont Public Schools’ 5th and 6th grade school. Welcome to Johnson Crossing Academic Center.

Our school has approximately 690 students which are split into 7 teams. We have four 5th grade teams and three 6th grade teams that are made up of 3-5 teachers and have from 70-120 students per team. The teams provide a small school feel and allow students and teachers to get to know each other, providing a more personalized education. We provide an education based around the fundamental skills of

reading, writing, and math. Social Studies, Science, Reading, Writing, and Math make up our core classes. Additional courses include Music, Art, Physical Education, and Integrated Technology. Students also can choose to take part in Band and Orchestra during the day and a variety of clubs and organizations outside of the school day.

Students on 6B practiced writing memoirs on Friday with the help of AI and learning how it can be helpful in life if used correctly. They started by writing a paragraph about a memory and then had AI turn it into a poem and designed a poster on Canvas to complement their poem.

🐯🎉 TIGER STORE CELEBRATION! 🎉🐯

What an AMAZING way to celebrate our Tigers! 💛🖤

Students have been earning tickets by showing what it means to be SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and RESPONSIBLE—and today, they got to cash those tickets in at our very own 🐯 TIGER STORE!

From fun prizes to exciting rewards, our students had a BLAST shopping with the tickets they worked hard to earn! 🎟️🛍️✨

We are so proud of our students for making positive choices, supporting one another, and helping make our school a place where everyone can Be Safe. Be Respectful. Be Responsible. ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to our amazing staff for helping make this celebration possible! 👏
Keep up the great work, Tigers! 🐯💛🖤
Your choices matter. Your hard work matters. YOU matter!

🎉🚗✨ What an exhilarating week in 5th grade science! Our young engineers embraced the Engineering Design Process by planning, building, and refining balloon cars and arms.

With limited supplies and a ticking clock, students collaborated in teams, brainstorming and sharing ideas. They quickly learned the importance of feedback, discussing improvements and showcasing their problem-solving skills. This hands-on experience not only ignited their engineering spirit but also highlighted the power of teamwork and creativity. Together, they proved that with collaboration, anything is possible! 🚀❤️💡

6B science learned about lab safety this week. They had to use their knowledge to decide if the students in our scenarios were being safe or not. If they weren’t, they had to come up with a solution for how those students could be safe.
