Last week, Development Director Katie Craig Keyworth had the opportunity to join a panel hosted by the PRSA Dallas at the North Texas Food Bank. The conversation focused on the power of relationships and how meaningful partnerships can help organizations grow, strengthen their impact, and better serve the communities around them.

Katie shared about the integral role that relationships with Good Sam have played in our growth. These partnerships have not only helped us expand the facility in which we serve, but also our reach and resources. They have also allowed us to connect with our community in deeper and more meaningful ways and we are so thankful for all our community partners the we call friends!

We were honored to welcome State Representative Rhetta Andrews Bowers and Clarissa Clarke from the North Texas Food Bank to Good Sam!

They toured our new building, saw our pantry in action, and spent time talking with our team about the updates, challenges, and changing needs facing our neighbors.

We’re grateful for leaders and partners who take the time to listen, learn, and see firsthand what is happening in our community.

Because of YOU, 90,912 meals are headed to our neighbors!

We are so grateful to everyone who supported Good Sam through North Texas Giving Day. Together, you helped raise $30,304, providing the equivalent of 90,912 meals for our neighbors in Garland and the surrounding communities.

A very special thank you to our matching sponsors, Garland Housing Finance Corporation and Altrusa International of Garland, for helping make every gift go even further.

And thank you to Analisa Baltazar for selecting Good Sam as a Champion of Giving and helping shine a light on the work happening right here in our community.

Every gift, every share, and every person who chose to support Good Sam helped make this possible. Thank you for standing with our neighbors and helping us keep food on the table.

Today would have been Craig Wheeler’s 70th birthday. ❤️

We’re missing our beloved Good Sam driver a little extra today as we remember a man who brought so much personality, laughter, and heart to our Good Sam family.

Craig was so much more than a driver. He was a friend, and a special part of the Good Sam family. His absence is deeply felt, and we’re grateful for all the memories he left with us.

Happy 70th birthday, Craig. Rest in Peace. Ride Free Forever. ❤️
We will have a Memorial Service for Craig on Thursday, October 1 at 2:00 PM at Good Sam. Everyone is welcome to join us as we remember him.
