With the forecast of continued rain for tomorrow morning during the Memorial Day Parade, we urge all attendees to dress appropriately. It is the responsibility of the Groton Fire Department and the Groton MA Police Department to ensure the safety of those participating. We are attempting to communicate with the organizers of the event.

So if you are around this long weekend, we hope that you will join us, Groton Fire Department, and all the other groups helping us to honor our men and women who died in combat protecting our country.

With spring in full bloom, it is that time of year where we begin to get door to door sales. The Groton Police Department is happy to announce the "Do Not Solicit List".

At Fall Town Meeting, voters passed a bylaw requiring soliciting/door to door sales to register with the town. You can read more about the new bylaw beginning on page 17:

https://portal.grotonma.gov/storage/Town_Meeting/Town%20Meeting%20Minutes/2025_Fall_Town_Meeting_Minutes.pdf

With the newly amended Town of Groton, MA By-Law on Door-to-Door Solicitation, the Groton Police Department will provide those approved for soliciting with a "Do Not Solicit” List when they are given their permit.

To add your address to the list, please email [email protected] with the subject line ‘Do Not Solicit List’ and give your name and address. Those soliciting will be given the list of addresses in town that do not permit door to door solicitation.

Violations of this provision are subject to a $300 fine and a revocation of their permit!
