The 7th Infantry Division (Multi-Domain Command - Pacific and The Singapore Army successfully concluded Exercise Lightning Strike (XLS) 2026, held across Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) and Yakima Training Center (YTC), Wash. from 17-22 August 2026.

As part of the Subject-Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE), XLS 2026 provided opportunities for our organizations to exchange knowledge and professional perspectives on emerging technologies and capabilities, including Unmanned Systems, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) and Motorized Infantry capabilities.

Through professional sharing and discussions, visits to training simulation facilities and observation of live-firing activities, we shared valuable insights into how 7ID (MDC-PAC) employs and integrates these capabilities in an operational environment, including how simulation and technology can enhance training realism and effectiveness.
