FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS ARE BACK IN HAGERMAN!

Tonight, members of Hagerman Fire & EMS were proud to be on standby for the first Bobcat football game of the season! 🚒🚑🐾

We were also glad to be working alongside our friends at Hagerman Police Department to help keep everyone safe while enjoying a great night of Bobcat football. 🚓

Being there isn’t just about being ready if we’re needed—it’s about showing up for our community, supporting our students, and cheering on our hometown Bobcats!

We’re looking forward to another great football season and are proud to be on standby at all of our Bobcat home games this year.

Great game tonight, Bobcats! 🏈🐾 We’re excited to see what the rest of the season brings!

Last nights meeting was about family. 💚

Last night, we had the pleasure of sharing a delicious meal with our members and their significant others. We also took some time to celebrate the birthdays from the last few months, making the evening even more special.

We wanted to recognize not only the commitment of our firefighters and EMS personnel, but also the incredible support they receive from their families.

Being a volunteer means answering late-night calls, leaving family dinners, missing special moments, and dropping everything when our community needs us. Those sacrifices aren’t made by our members alone—they’re made by the spouses, children, and loved ones who stand behind them every step of the way. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. Your support is a huge part of what keeps Hagerman Fire & EMS strong.

A huge thank you to La Botana for providing an absolutely amazing dinner of red enchiladas, beans, and rice! It was so delicious that we almost forgot to take a picture before everyone started eating… so you’ll have to forgive our “already-served” photo! 😄

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Isabel Garcia for the incredible homemade salsa. It was the perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful meal!

The evening ended with full stomachs, birthday celebrations, plenty of laughter, and a reminder of just how fortunate we are to have such an amazing department and support system.

To every member and every family behind the scenes—thank you. We appreciate your dedication, your sacrifices, and everything you do to help keep Hagerman Fire & EMS serving our community. We truly couldn’t do it without you. 💚🚒🚑

🚨 Vehicle Fire Response – Highway 249 🚨

On Friday, July 17, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Hagerman Fire & EMS responded to a reported semi-truck cab fire on Highway 249 after dispatch received reports of a truck on fire with flames coming from under the dashboard.

Upon arrival, crews found the semi tractor (not connected to a trailer) involved in the fire. Firefighters quickly went to work to contain and extinguish the blaze. We appreciate the assistance from Dexter Fire for their mutual aid and teamwork on scene.

Hagerman Police Department and the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office also responded and assisted with traffic control, helping keep the area safe while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.

The driver was able to safely exit the vehicle before crews arrived and was not injured.

We are thankful this incident ended without injuries and appreciate the patience and cooperation of everyone traveling through the area while emergency crews worked to make the scene safe.

Thank you to all of our responding personnel and our neighboring agencies for your continued dedication, teamwork, and commitment to protecting our communities. 💚💙

🎣 What an incredible day at Fishing with a Cop at Lake Van on Saturday!

Hagerman Fire & EMS was honored to be part of such a wonderful community event alongside so many of our neighboring first responder agencies. It was amazing to see so many families come out to enjoy a morning of fishing, and fun.

Events like this are a great reminder that building relationships with our community extends far beyond emergency calls. We loved spending time with everyone, meeting new faces, and watching kids create memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize this event and to all of the agencies and volunteers who came together to make it such a success. The turnout was incredible, and we’re grateful to have been included.

Today we celebrate not only our Chief, but someone who gives countless hours of his time to serving the people of Hagerman.

Whether it’s responding to emergencies at all hours of the day or night, leading our department, mentoring our members, or always looking for ways to better serve our community, Chief Lilly’s dedication never goes unnoticed. His commitment, leadership, and heart for helping others have made a lasting impact on our department and the community we proudly serve.

Thank you for your unwavering service, your leadership, and for always putting others before yourself. We are grateful for everything you do for Hagerman Fire & EMS and for the citizens of Hagerman.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Hagerman Fire & EMS! 🇺🇸

Today, as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, we honor the freedoms we enjoy, remember those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, and celebrate the spirit that has united our country for two and a half centuries.

If you’re heading to the Dexter Lake Van Fourth of July celebration, be sure to keep an eye out for Hagerman Fire & EMS! 🚒🚑 We’ll be there helping keep everyone safe throughout the festivities. If you see us, don’t be shy—come say hi! We’d love to visit with our community.

🎆 A few fireworks safety reminders:
• Always keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby.
• Never allow young children to light or handle fireworks.
• Light only one firework at a time and move away quickly.
• Never relight a firework that doesn’t go off.
• Keep pets indoors—they can be frightened by loud noises.
• Be mindful of dry grass and brush, and never use fireworks near combustible materials.

Let’s work together to make this a safe, fun, and memorable Fourth of July for everyone.

Today we want to give a huge THANK YOU and shoutout to Peak Air Services for coming out and servicing Hagerman Fire & EMS SCBA bottles!

Not only were they incredibly professional and hardworking, but they were also some of the kindest, most down-to-earth people we’ve had the pleasure of working with. It was really awesome getting to see a family-run business in action — everyone working together, including their kiddos, who were absolutely great! You can truly tell this family takes pride in what they do.

Peak Air Services made sure our SCBA bottles were tested, up to date, and ready for the next call so our firefighters can continue serving the community safely and efficiently.

We truly appreciate the service, dedication, and professionalism they brought to our department. Thank you again for coming out and helping keep Hagerman Fire & EMS ready to respond! 🚒🔥
