Lewis’ class had a wonderful time visiting Hickory Ridge Farm Pumpkin Patch too! 🎃🧡 From enjoying the fall atmosphere to making special memories together, our students had a fun-filled day full of smiles, laughter, and autumn adventures! 🍁🧡 We are so thankful for opportunities like these that allow our students to explore, learn, and grow together. 🦁🦒🐘 Our 1st Grade Zoo Adventure! 🐒🦓

Mrs. Lewis' first graders had a WILD time at the zoo! 🐾 From discovering amazing animals to making memories with classmates, it was a day full of fun, learning, and adventure! 🌿🦩 We loved seeing our little explorers’ curiosity come to life as they learned more about the incredible animals that share our world. 💚

What a ROAR-some day! 🐯✨

🎃🐾 Our Phenix Kindergarten Panther Cubs had a PUMPKIN-tastic adventure! 🐾🎃

Our Kindergarten explorers visited Hickory Ridge Farm to learn all about the life cycle of a pumpkin! 🌱🍂 Students enjoyed hands-on learning as they discovered the different stages of a pumpkin’s life cycle and even got to pick out a pumpkin of their very own! 🎃

Our Panther Cubs returned to school with new knowledge, happy memories, and special moments shared with their classmates. 🍁🧡

⭐️🌊 Our Sea Stars are making waves in science! 🌊⭐️

Ms. Huffman’s Kindergarten Sea Stars explored the concepts of push and pull by creating their very own Play-Doh mazes! 🌀 Through hands-on learning, students discovered how force helps us move objects and how a little effort and hard work can help us achieve a goal. 💪🧠

Way to go, Sea Stars! We are so proud of your curiosity, creativity, and hard work! 😊🐚

🍂🔬Check out our little engineers with BIG ideas! 🏠🐷💨

Ms. McCoy’s Kindersmarties put their thinking caps on for an exciting, hands-on Science lesson! Using the Engineering Design Process, our little engineers took on a challenge to design, build, and test a shape house to keep their pig safe from the Big Bad Wolf on a windy Fall day! 🐷🏡

Our Kindersmarties put their knowledge of shapes, size, weather, and Fall to work as they planned, created, tested, and improved their designs. Along the way, they practiced collaboration, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving while learning that sometimes the best solutions come from working together! 🤝💡

We are so proud of these little learners for thinking creatively, learning through trial and error, and putting their STEM skills into action! Who knew such a simple challenge could inspire so much learning? ❤️🍁

There's a lot of learning taking place with shapes in the Beehive. Monday, the Bumblebees discovered that shapes are everywhere, even our food. While introducing shapes, students made a connection to their school lunch. They realized that they ate a triangle during lunch when they had pizza. Then they created their own shape pizza and included their own ingredients. Circles were used for olives and pepperoni, squares were used for cheese and peppers, triangles were used for cheese, rectangles were used for onions, peppers and cheese as well. The bumblebees made a variation of delicious shape pizzas. Today, the bumblebees became artists after learning about Piet Mondrian. They learned that his most famous paintings only included red, blue and yellow colors with black vertical and horizontal lines. The bumblebees enjoyed learning about shapes through Art.

Our Climate & Culture Committee treated our amazing staff to a dirty soda bar in the mailroom! 🥤 From the hard work to the big hearts, our team pours so much into our students and school community every single day. 🩶❤️
