On May 20th2026, The Kent County Governor’s Task Force assisted Harrington Police Department with a drug search warrant at 13 Rose Haven Lane Harrington, DE 19952 in the matter of Barbara Reed, Daniel Parker and Jaleel Reed. On May 16th, 2026, Harrington Police Department was conducting surveillance on the residence due to drug activity. Reed and Parker were observed leaving the residence and a traffic stop was attempted. Reed and Parker fled in the vehicle and a pursuit ensued. Delaware State Police Aviation- Trooper 4 assisted with pursuit. Reed and Parker fled into Maryland. Trooper 4 continued to monitor Reed and Parker’s movements and Denton Police Department (MD) later apprehended the fleeing duo at a Goose Creek gas station in Maryland. Reed and Parker were found in possession of crack co***ne and drug paraphernalia. Prior to the ex*****on of the search warrant at the Reed residence, intelligence was gathered that Reed’s son, Jaleel Reed had been staying at the location as well. Level 2 Probationer and a 2-time convicted felon Jaleel Reed was an absconder from probation and wanted by Harrington Police Department for a pursuit in April 2026 that his mother, Reed was the passenger. During the search warrant, Christie Lake was taken into custody and later charged with drug paraphernalia. Through investigative means, Jaleel Reed’s location was discovered in the City of Milford. Jaleel Reed was surveilled by unit members. A tactical vehicle stop was conducted in the area of Hills Market Road and Hopkins Cemetery Road Harrington, DE in which, Jaleel Reed attempted to flee but ultimately surrendered to unit members. Jaleel Reed was charged accordingly, and Probation and Parole issued an administrative warrant for violation of probation.
