Intent and impact are not always the same. Even when harm is unintentional, the impact is still real. Instead of focusing on whether we meant to cause harm, we can listen, acknowledge the impact of our actions, and take responsibility for doing better.

Have you heard the Doctor Riddle? It’s a simple question that can reveal the implicit biases we may carry without realizing it. While we can’t always control our first thought, we can pause, notice it, and challenge it by thinking of an example that contradicts the stereotype.
