Join us on Monday, June 22 at the Haverford Reserve Meadow for our first-ever Summer Solstice Drumming Circle! Help us welcome summer with drumming around the campfire.

All experience levels will be honored, and families are welcome, but we ask you to monitor your children at all times. Some drums will be provided, but if you can, please bring your own drums as well.

This program is made possible through a partnership between The Haverford Township Free Library and Kelly Center for Music, Arts, and Community. Special thank you to Boy Scout Troop 144 for helping with the campfire and safely exiting the Meadows.

What a great Kickoff to Summer Reading Event last night in the Library! Thank you to Eyes of the Wild and all the adorable furry, fuzzy and slithery friends you brought with you! We learned so much about these amazing rescued animals.

Looking for a creative way to unwind and connect with others? Join our Teen Librarian Josh TODAY at 4:30 pm for a Teen Drum Circle! This relaxed, welcoming program invites teens to explore rhythm and self-expression through hands-on drumming—no experience needed.

Each session will include simple guided rhythms, group activities, and time to experiment. Whether you’re trying drumming for the first time or already love music, this is a great space to collaborate, de-stress, and have fun.

Instruments will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own drums if they prefer. For teens in grades 6–12.

Join us tonight for an open house at the Haverford Township Free Library with the Haverford Township Senior Citizens Advisory Council!

A lot has changed at the library since it reopened in May 2024 -- the open house will feature presentations from staff on new collections, programs and resources and guided tours of the building with the opportunity to sign up for a library card.

Light refreshments and time for mingling with other seniors will be provided.

Summer Reading is here!

Join us this week for our Kickoff Event: Eyes of the Wild on Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room! Eyes of the Wild is an exotic animal sanctuary in New Jersey, caring for animals such as wallabies, hedgehogs, snakes, and macaws. Come to Haverford Township Free Library to learn about and meet some of their animals!

Welcome to Summer Reading 2026! The Haverford Township Free Library hosts a summer reading program for children, teens and adults to foster a love of reading for patrons of all ages! Our Summer Reading programs will run from Monday, June 22 through Saturday, August 15. Make sure to register the next time you are in the Library and we look forward to seeing you this summer!
