Exciting news!

Construction of the Community Reading Garden is almost underway and should be completed this summer. The project, designed by SALT Design Studio based on community input, will be brought to life by ThinkGreen LLC, which was awarded the construction contract.

Though the physical footprint of the Penn Wynne library is small, its reach is vast. As a “for the community, by the community” project, we created the Community Reading Garden to enhance the library experience for all patrons. The garden will expand the library’s footprint and include new spaces for patrons to read, play, learn, and come together as a community.

Your support helps provide high-quality resources and programs at no cost to our community members.

Be part of Penn Wynne's Community Garden by becoming a:

Seed Level Supporter: $100 to 249 (Name on temporary signage at ribbon cutting event)
Brick Level Supporter: $250 to $999 (Name on temporary signage at ribbon cutting event + Engraved brick. Engraved bricks are 1-2 lines and up to 24 characters per line.)
Garden Level Supporter: $1,000+ (Name on temporary signage at ribbon cutting event + Engraved brick + Name on Permanent Garden Plaque)

Opportunities extended till June 1, 2026.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Penn Wynne Library Association greatly appreciates your generous contributions to make our garden grow and to support ongoing funding of library resources and programs.

Financial assistance for the Community Reading Garden was provided by: The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund; The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, Community and Economic Assistance Program; and the The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority, Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program.
