Congratulations to Officer Brandon Kohler and the first academy graduating class of the Gallatin College Montana State University Law Enforcement Academy!

Officer Kohler successfully completed the rigorous 14-week academy graduating on August 7, 2026. This is a significant accomplishment and marks the beginning of an exciting career in law enforcement. Officer Kohler has demonstrated professionalism, integrity and a strong commitment to public safety throughout the academy.

Officer Kohler will now begin our 14-week field training program where he will continue to develop his skills while protecting and serving our community.

We look forward in having Officer Kohler as a valued member of an outstanding team of Officers of the Havre PD. Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Officer Kohler.

You may notice an increased law enforcement presence at Havre High School for the remainder of this week. Please be advised that agencies will be conducting active shooter response training at the school.

This is only a training exercise. There is no threat to the school or the community. Thanks!

This is a public awareness post. We we were visited by Kaidi Ly, who will be going around door to door in the City of Havre and Hill county area selling books for Southwestern Advantage. We have verified this individual’s information. She is a very polite and nice young woman, who does have an accent. Don't be alarmed when you see her.

Kaidi is meeting with families that have children, from babies to seniors in High School, to provide a learning service for making reading fun and easy and to give your kids a head start. For the older children, it will encourage learning and save time with homework.

The Havre Police Department got the pleasure in assisting with the Havre Bike Rodeo on 06/27/2026. Shoutout to the event organizers and other organizations that participated. Officer Evens would like to remind everyone to be safe when riding their bike and have a great 4th of July weekend!
