Mercer County Ambulance Service Providing emergency services to Mercer County Our service area is 1,015 square miles and a county population of 8,600.

Mercer County Ambulance Service provides emergency ALS and BLS services from two stations, one in Hazen and one in Beulah to all residents and guests of Mercer County. Our service began as volunteer based, and is still largely volunteers, which consists of EMR's, EMT's, EMT-I's, and a Paramedic. We also have 4 FT EMT's and 6 Paramedics (3 FT, 2 PRN, and 1 Volunteer).

☀️🥵 **MERCER & OLIVER COUNTIES: THE SUN HAS CHOSEN VIOLENCE THIS WEEKEND.** 🥵☀️

A **Heat Advisory** is in effect **Saturday from 1:00 PM CDT (Noon MDT) through Sunday at 9:00 PM CDT (8:00 PM MDT).** Heat index values could reach **105°F**.

Let's be honest... if your steering wheel looks like it's auditioning to become a branding iron and your flip-flops are sticking to the pavement, it's probably not the best time to mow the lawn at 2:00 p.m. 🌞🔥

**Take the heat seriously:**
💧 Drink plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
❄️ Spend time in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
🧢 Limit time outdoors, especially during the hottest part of the day.
👵 Check on elderly relatives, neighbors, and anyone without adequate cooling.
🐾 Don't forget your pets! Make sure they have shade and fresh water, and remember that pavement can burn their paws.
🚗 **Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle—not even for a minute.** Temperatures inside can become deadly in a matter of minutes.

Heat illness can happen quickly. If someone becomes confused, faints, has hot, dry skin, or stops sweating, call **911** immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and remember: **the only thing that should be sizzling this weekend is the bacon—not you.** 🥓😎
