The men and women of the Hilliard Division of Police welcome you to our official page. The Hilliard Division of Police was formed in 1957 as a "Special Police" force made up of 20 volunteers. In 1960, the first two full-time police officers were hired. Since that time, The Hilliard Division of Police has grown with the City to an agency made up of 70 individuals who proudly serve the residents, businesses and visitors of the City of Hilliard and Norwich Township.

Missing a backpack? ๐ŸŽ’Last Thursday night, officers recovered a backpack at Municipal Park and we're hoping to get it back to its rightful owner.

While there are no identifying items inside, the backpack does contain a OHSAA medal, an item that's likely very meaningful to its owner.

If you believe this bag may belong to you or someone you know and you can provide details verifying ownership, please contact us at 614-334-2336.

โ˜€๏ธ Summer Safety Reminder โ˜€๏ธ

Longer days and warm weather mean more time spent outdoorsโ€”but they can also create opportunities for theft if we're not careful.

No matter how safe you think your neighborhood is, it's always a good idea to take a few simple precautions:

๐Ÿšฒ Put bicycles away when they're not being used
๐Ÿš— Remove valuables from vehicles and lock your doors
๐Ÿก Close garage doors, even when you're home or working in the yard
๐Ÿ”’ Lock sheds, gates, and other outdoor storage areas
๐Ÿ’ก Keep exterior lights on at night when appropriate

A few extra seconds can help protect your property and keep our community safe. If you notice suspicious activity, report it to the Hilliard Division of Police . Let's all do our part to make this a safe and enjoyable summer!
