The CRA Board will discuss ongoing initiatives, redevelopment projects, grant programs, and other items that support investment and growth throughout our community. Residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and stay informed about the work shaping the future of Homestead.

Today’s Coffee with the CRA brought the community together for an important conversation about the future of Downtown Homestead.

City of Homestead Public Works Director Cairo Cangas and Assistant Director Mina Samadi shared an in-depth presentation on the upcoming Utility and Streetscape Improvement Project, including anticipated timelines, infrastructure upgrades, and the enhancements planned to help transform the downtown experience for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

A vibrant downtown starts with a strong public realm.
CRA Director Jared Beck shares how Downtown Homestead is preparing for a major transformation, with a utility and streetscape improvement project coming to Grove and Flagler Avenue.

From updated hardscape and landscaping to lighting and site furnishings, the historic core will be reimagined to create a place where people gather, connect, and experience the city for years to come.

Big things are growing in Homestead! With the unwavering support of our CRA board, we’re enhancing our community one project at a time.

From the vibrant new gateway to a fresh park connection, we’re also lining our streets with colorful, shade-giving trees. This Arbor Day, we planted the first of many Pigeon Plums, Pink Tabebuias, and Gumbo Limbos—and we’re just getting started.
