We are thrilled to launch this brand-new program for Horn Lake Parks & Recreation! Flag football is exploding in popularity across the country, especially at the high school level. Local schools are already leading the charge -DeSoto County Schools' own Southaven High School had an amazing All-Girl flag team last school year!

Horn Lake High School will be starting an All-Girl flag football team this year.
To support this growing sport, we are proud to offer separate All-Boy and All-Girl leagues this fall! This is the perfect chance for your athlete to build skills, learn teamwork, and make friends.
League Details:
Divisions: Separate All-Boy And All-Girl leagues
Ages: 5 to 14 years old (Age as of August 1st, 2026
Registration Fee: $60.00 per player ( Uniform not included)
Deadline: August 9th
Coach: Still looking for Coaches for the All-Boy and All-Girl leagues

We have started In the Park After Dark Movie and Game Night” we will start the movie about 40 min. Movie will be A Minecraft Movie. Don’t forget chairs or blankets and favorite movie snacks and drinks

Today was Auston’s last day as the Horn Lake Parks & Recreation Athletic Coordinator. We made sure to remind him how deeply he will be missed and how much he has impacted our staff, kids in our programs, parents, and the entire community.
In a small department like ours, the Athletic Coordinator role goes far beyond making schedules, contacting coaches, and organizing sports. Auston stepped up to fill every gap. He became a mentor, stepped in to coach teams when volunteers were short, filled in as a backup umpire, and everyone's favorite event DJ ("DJ AD") at our events.
Auston, you will be missed by the countless people you have impacted. However, since you have been with Horn Lake Parks & Rec nearly your entire life—from playing rec baseball, to working field crew, to becoming one of our youngest umpires—we know you won't stay away for long!
We wish you the absolute best in your next chapter.
