Today, I officially launch my campaign for re-election to the 184th District Court bench in Harris County, Texas. It has been the highest honor to serve the Harris County community as Judge of the 184th District Court over the past three years. I step into this re-election season with deep gratitude and a renewed commitment to the principles that have guided my service on the bench: fairness, accountability, safety, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.
Three years ago, I took the bench armed with the desire to promote a justice system that strengthens our community. A system grounded in knowledge, accountability, and trust. A system that holds individuals accountable while also protecting rights and promoting safety across the Harris County community. As a judge, I have always strived to strike that balance with care, integrity, and respect for the rule of law.
So, why should Judge Katherine Thomas stay on the 184th District Court bench? Because experience matters. Because stability and fairness in the judiciary protect the safety of our community. Because I remain committed to making decisions that reflect both the law and the values of justice and equality. As I seek a second term, I continue to stay dedicated to a court that stands as a pillar of safety, trust, accountability, and a commitment to our youth.
