💜👑 A Day to Remember at Senior Prom! 👑💜

Last week, Wesley was proud to host our annual Senior Prom, welcoming 120 seniors for an afternoon of dancing, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From the moment they walked through the doors dressed in their best, our guests were treated like the Prom Kings and Queens they are.

While Senior Prom is one of our favorite traditions, it’s just one example of how our Senior Program brings people together. Through meals, activities, wellness programs, and social opportunities, we’re helping older adults stay connected, active, and engaged in our community.

A special thank you to Frost Bank for sponsoring this year’s event, CenterPoint Energy for their support, and the volunteers from Frost Bank and National Charity League Palomas who gave their time to make the day so special. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Senior Prom one to remember. We’re already looking forward to next year! 💜✨

✨ Marilen’s story is one of many who YOU helped make an impact on! ✨

When Marilen came to Wesley Community Center, she was looking for help with a healthcare scholarship, but quickly found support that met much more of her day-to-day needs.

She was facing the tough reality of having to choose between rent, groceries, and getting her car repaired so she could stay employed. Through Wesley’s wraparound services, she was able to receive employment support, food pantry access, benefits guidance, savings support, and car repair assistance tp help her get back on the road to success.

That one step made a real difference. With reliable transportation, Marilen could get to job fairs, secure a position at a major Houston hospital, and continue working toward her healthcare certification.

Today, she’s building stability and moving toward a career in healthcare. Her journey is just one example of the impact made possible this year through your support.

What a joy it was to celebrate our Little Wesley Friends as they graduated from our Early Childhood Education program 🎓💙

This week felt extra special as families gathered to cheer on their little ones! There were lots of proud parents, happy tears, and big smiles all around. Watching how much these children have grown right here at Wesley is something we never take for granted.

Our Early Childhood Program program is built around what children and families truly need in these early years: caring teachers, hands-on learning, and a strong focus on helping each child grow socially, emotionally, and academically. We’re proud to be NAEYC Accredited and a 4-Star Texas Rising Star program, but what we’re most proud of is what that represents every day in our classrooms; Consistent care, strong learning, and real support for families.

Most importantly, our kids leave here feeling confident, loved, and ready for what’s next, and their families know they’ve had a partner in the journey.

Congratulations to our graduates and their families. We’re so proud of you and so grateful to be part of your story 💙

Last Thursday, we gathered with supporters, partners, and friends of Wesley for our Annual Meeting to reflect on all that was accomplished in 2025 and to welcome our 2026–2027 Board of Directors.

We also had the opportunity to recognize outgoing Board Chair Perry Padden and thank him for his leadership and service. Perry's dedication to Wesley has helped strengthen our organization and expand our impact in the community, and we are incredibly grateful for all he has given to our mission.

As we look ahead, we're excited to share our 2025 Annual Report. The report highlights the lives touched, the milestones reached, and the work made possible because of the generosity and support of our community.
