"Os investimentos em projetos confirmados e potenciais na cadeia de valor do gás natural no estado do Rio podem ultrapassar R$ 110 bilhões em horizonte estimado de dez anos. O período considera planos estratégicos de empresas, a viabilidade dos projetos de consumo e a perspectiva de produção do gás natural. É o que aponta a quinta edição do estudo “Perspectivas do Gás no Rio”, lançado pela Firjan SENAI na última quarta-feira, dia 7. A publicação também destaca que, somente na indústria, estão identificados projetos potenciais que somam mais de 30 milhões de metros cúbicos de consumo de gás natural por dia, significando investimentos na ordem de R$ 60 bilhões (54,5% do total)."

No Rio de Janeiro, a atuação do governo fluminense para tornar a cidade uma referência nacional na transição energética para uma matriz renovável tem surtido efeitos significativos.
A matéria do jornal O Globo, publicada ontem, aponta que, segundo dados do Mapa do Potencial de Geração de Energia Renovável, apenas no litoral, foram apontados nove parques eólicos offshore em processo de licenciamento no Ibama. Isso significa que, além de seguir uma tendência ambiental mundial, os investimentos em energias renováveis irão proporcionar a diversificação da economia e geração de emprego e renda na cidade.
Segundo Elbia Gannoum, presidente executiva da Associação Brasileira de Energia Eólica (ABEeólica), "A eólica onshore já é a segunda fonte de geração de energia no Brasil. O país está iniciando os projetos offshore, com um futuro bastante promissor para o Rio."
Fernanda Delgado, diretora executiva corporativa do IBP, ressalta "Anualmente, o setor de óleo e gás realiza investimentos importantes para o avanço da indústria de renováveis, proporcionando fontes de financiamento, expertise, pesquisa e tecnologia, sendo um participante ativo e comprometido no processo de transição energética."

Começamos o dia com um café da manhã super especial, na presença de nosso presidente, Roberto Ardenghy, e de toda a nossa diretoria, composta por Fernanda Delgado, diretora executiva corporativa, Valéria Lima, diretora executiva de downstream, Julio Moreira, diretor executivo de exploração e produção e Sylvie D'Apote, diretora executiva de gás natural.
No encontro, relembramos nossa trajetória, nossas conquistas e missão. Nas palavras do presidente:
“Se há uma coisa que caracteriza a história do IBP, é o sucesso. Temos que nos lembrar o que esse setor representa e representou na economia brasileira. Em 1970 o Brasil importava 90% do petróleo que consumia, e hoje estamos exportando 700 mil barris de petróleo todos os dias. Os números mostram que não só o setor foi capaz de responder a demanda energética do Brasil, mas se superar em termos de uma indústria segura, inclusiva, e que tem uma preocupação em fazer o correto.”

On March 9th, 2022; the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce had their third annual ceremony celebrating the “Person of the Year and Company of the Year Award” which pays tribute to the person and the company that have shown outstanding performance in economic, scientific, trading, educational, and social relations between Brazil and the United States, and have promoted and achieved great benefit between the two nations. This year the event took place during the CERAWeek and was held at the Hilton Post Oak by the Galleria. BRATECC delivered the awards during a dinner, which was preceded by a networking cocktail reception. Astronaut Marcos Pontes, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil, has been selected as BRATECC's "Person of the Year" based on his outstanding leadership to improve the relationship between Brazil and the United States, particularly the Great State of Texas. We are also honored, United Airlines, a world renowned company and leader in the airline industry, as BRATECC's "Company of the Year" in recognition to its commitment to the development of the airline sector between the U.S. and Brazil, which proudly serves for 30 years.
