🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ Join BikeHouston for a fun, no-drop bike ride through Westchase! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

On Sunday, March 2, BikeHouston is hosting a slow-pace, "see-stuff" ride, starting at the Terry Hershey Park parking lot at Dairy Ashford at 8:00 am. This 16-mile ride is open to all abilities, and a portion of the route goes right through Westchase District. it’s the perfect opportunity to explore some of Westchase’s fantastic infrastructure! 🌳

You’ll be done by 11:00 am, so it’s a great way to start your Sunday while enjoying the outdoors. See you there! 🙌

We're Hiring!

We just wrapped up training for our newest Guest Services Attendants (GSAs), who are ready to make visiting Camden Park a fantastic experience! These team members will be the friendly faces welcoming visitors, keeping the park clean and safe, and helping with events and programs.

We’re still looking for a few more part-time GSAs who can fill in as needed and assist with large events. If you love parks, enjoy engaging with people, and want a flexible, part-time role, this could be a great fit!

What You’ll Do:
✅ Greet visitors and share info about park activities, events, and rules
✅ Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
✅ Assist with event setups and park programming

📍 Woodchase Park – 3951 Woodchase Dr., Houston, TX
📍 Camden Park – 2951 Wilcrest Dr., Houston, TX

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality that occurred just outside of Westchase District.

The crime occurred in the 9200 block of Westpark Dr.

HPD is asking for help from anyone who might know anything, or any business at that location with a camera that may have video from the scene.

Houston Police Department Differential Response Team (DRT) officers are making a big impact in Westchase District! 🚔

Working in the area multiple days a week, these officers are tackling key safety concerns to keep the District clean, safe, and welcoming.

🚛 Cracking Down on Illegal Truck Parking
Large trucks parked on residential streets block visibility and create hazards for drivers and pedestrians. The DRT officers have already addressed more than 11 illegally parked trucks, enforcing city regulations, issuing violations, and towing repeat offenders.

🏚 Addressing Neglected Properties
Vacant lots and unmaintained buildings can become hot spots. DRT officers are proactively working with property owners to ensure compliance with city codes, preventing long-term deterioration and enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Westchase District.

By taking a proactive approach, these officers are making a real difference—improving mobility, reducing crime, and ensuring that Westchase remains a vibrant, thriving place for businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

Get ready for a deliciously fun event! The Houston Westchase Rotary Club’s SOUP'ER BOWL fundraiser will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Quillian Center, located at 10570 Westpark Drive, Houston, TX 77042. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m.

Attendees will enjoy tasting soups from 10+ cooking teams and voting for their favorites. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams, so bring your appetite and your judging skills!

The event is free, but a $5 suggested donation is encouraged. There will also be a raffle, silent auction and novelty items to add to the fun. Proceeds from the SOUP'ER BOWL will go toward scholarships for college-bound graduates from Alief ISD, Spring Branch ISD and Lutheran North High School.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support local students while enjoying great food and community fun.
