Our 2026–2027 School Supply Lists are now available. We encourage families to review the list for their child's grade level and begin gathering supplies to ensure students are prepared and ready to learn on the first day of school.

🎒📚 Back-to-School Updates for Cornelius Elementary! 📚🎒

As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we want to share a few important reminders with our Cougar families!

🍎 Breakfast in the Cafeteria
Breakfast will be served daily in the cafeteria at 7:00 a.m. Students may enter the building beginning at 7:00 a.m. and enjoy a healthy breakfast before instruction begins at 7:30 a.m. Starting the day with a nutritious meal helps students stay focused and ready to learn!

👕 Dress Code Reminders
Please review our school dress code before the first day of school. Students should arrive in attire that is appropriate for learning and follows district guidelines. Ensuring students are dressed for success helps create a positive and focused learning environment for everyone.

📋 Be sure to review all back-to-school information, including school supply lists, school hours, and important campus updates.

👕❤️ CORNELIUS UNIFORM DRIVE ❤️👕

Help us support our Cougar families as we prepare for a new school year!

We are collecting gently used school uniforms, including:
✅ Uniform shirts (red, white, or black)
✅ Uniform pants
✅ Uniform shorts
✅ Uniform skirts

📦 A donation box will be available in the Front Foyer all summer long for easy drop-off.

Please ensure all donated items are clean, in good condition, and free of stains or tears.

Every donation helps a student start the school year with confidence. Thank you for supporting our Cougar community!

🐾 Every Trail Leads to Success

As the final whistle blows on the 2025–2026 school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate an incredible team.

This year, our staff embraced the theme “Every Day is Game Day” and showed up for our students day after day with dedication, heart, resilience, and Cougar Pride. From championship-worthy lessons to game-changing relationships, every member of our team played an important role in helping our students succeed.

Together, we tackled challenges, celebrated victories, supported one another, and kept our focus on what matters most—our students.

Thank you to our teachers, support staff, office team, custodians, cafeteria staff, counselors, specialists, and everyone who made this year a success. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

We also want to bid a heartfelt farewell to our School Speech Pathologist, Ms. Katrina Williams. Thank you for the care, expertise, and support you have provided to our students and families. We wish you all the best in your next chapter, happy retirement!

As we close out this season and head into summer, we hope you take time to rest, recharge, and celebrate all that you’ve accomplished.

🏆 The scoreboard is in, and because of YOU, this year was a winning one.

This week, we celebrated a very special milestone as we honored our 5th grade students during their Promotion Ceremony.

To the Class of 2026, we are so proud of all you have accomplished during your time at Cornelius Elementary. You have grown as learners, leaders, teammates, and friends, and now you are ready for your next adventure.

As you head to middle school, remember that the skills, memories, and friendships you’ve built here will stay with you. Continue to work hard, be kind, stay curious, and never stop believing in yourself.

While we will miss seeing you walk our halls, we know your future is bright and full of possibilities.

Congratulations, 5th graders! Once a Cougar, always a Cougar. ❤️🖤🐾
